1-2-3 ADOPTION PROCESS
We like to think of ourselves as matchmakers for cats and humans. Follow these three simple steps to make to make finding your perfect pet a fun and rewarding experience.

Apply. Complete our no-obligation Adoption Application. This is how we learn about your preferences and your household, and identify which adoptable kitties best meet your needs and environment.

Explore. A Viva Los Gatos Adoption Coordinator will review your application and contact you to better understand your needs. This is also your chance to ask questions about specific cats on your short list of adoptables.
If we approve your Adoption Application, you will be able to meet prospective cats at their foster home or another location, and decide which are the best fit for you and your household. COVID Update: Initial meet-and-greets are being conducted virtually. If you are seriously interested in a particular kitty, the foster parent will arrange an in-home visit at their discretion.

Adopt. If you decide to move forward with adoption, you will sign an Adoption Agreement. By signing, you agree to provide your new Viva Los Gatos kitty with a FOREVER HOME that includes appropriate nurturing, a healthy physical environment, and ongoing veterinary care.
The Fine Print

Viva Los Gatos adopts to residents of Northeast Ohio. Adoptions to residents outside this area are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Submitting an application is not a binding agreement to adopt. It is simply part of the process that leads to a final adoption decision.

Viva Los Gatos reserves the right to decline any adoption. We will consider applications from individuals age 21 and older who can provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment for the lifetime of the cat.
